Rocky Mountain Cookies (doctored to make more healthy)

1 cup Splenda
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup unsweetened apple sauce
2 eggs
1 tsp pure vanilla
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup white flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 cups old-fashioned oats
2 cups Rice Crispies cereal
1 (12 ounce) bag dark chocolate chips
In a large bowl cream together sugars and applesauce. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well. Sift dry ingredients into a separate bowl. Add to mixture. Fold in oats, cereal, and chocolate chips. Drop by tablespoon onto a greased baking sheet. Bake 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes until very lightly browned. Makes six dozen.
